CHEF

Travellers Cafe is seeking a skilled Chef to join our dynamic team. The Chef will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring high-quality culinary offerings for our customers. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare a diverse range of dishes, considering seasonal availability and customer preferences
• Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed
• Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
• Monitor food costs and work with management to develop cost-effective menu items
• Collaborate with the management team to create new menu items and specials
• Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in accordance with company standards

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Culinary degree or certification is a plus
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
